  Today I went for brunch with two of my friends. We were treated horribly by the hostesses. We were on a waiting list and after twenty minutes I noticed many parties who put their name after mine were being seated. I asked the hostess about my party of three and on the sheet. I looked at the sheet and it showed they had served five people who were in parties of four before my party of three. I told the hostess that this wasn't right and the hostess was unapologetic about it. She said that I wanted a table I had to wait. Then she told my group if we preferred to be seated at a booth we would have to wait even longer. The whole situation was terrible and they shouldn't have done that to my group. If people are on a waiting list- people should be seated in order by who was on the list first. I spoke with the owner Gus- a nice guy. He apologized for what happened and said when we took our bill to the front we would receive a discount. At the front desk the hostesses started arguing with my party and did not want to give us a discount even though the owner said we could. One hostess in particular was very rude to me and started raising her voice. I wish I knew her name- she was thin, looked older, and had a bob black haircut. Then she started questioning me on specific details about why I was receiving a discount and didn't believe my group when we said we talked to the owner. She relented in the end and gave my group a discount. I will never go back there again. It is such a shame they were so rude to my friends and I. My grandfather and his friends go to Maxfield's twice a week. My mother also goes there often and knows many staff members. Really a shame- I am very disappointed with how the staff treated my friends and I.

  Have been many times..very friendly staff.. food is hot and delicious every time.. I have only had the breakfast items.. they fill my coffee multiple times without being asked..bonus..
